How To Remove Stains From Carpet?

It is very important to keep your carpet clean and fresh. This is to be done not only to enhance the look of it but also to make sure that no disease or illness is caused by dirty carpet. Here are a few tips from RBN Cleaning, the most professional and experienced carpet cleaners in Perth helping you know how to remove different types of stains from carpet.

Don't ever rub stain, blot it

If there is a carpet stain, dab it using a cleaning solution & a paper towel, clean cloth or sponge. Blot it. Blotting actually puts very little amount of pressure on stain to soak it. Rubbing on the other hand causes particles to get ground into the fibres, which may cause premature breakdown of it. Blot from outside of stain inward because blotting outward may outspread the stain.

Organic cleaners for pet accidents

Pets may have an accident on carpet. When this happens don't use chemicals but organic cleaners for your carpet cleaning. You can scrub if needed and then wipe up using the cleaner with towels or cloth.

Club soda method

Club soda can prove to be effective against wine and beer stains if you use it in the right way. But how? Okay...Just blot the area with soda on the cloth. If it does not work, mix vinegar and water in 1:1 ratio and pour it into the handheld sprayer. Then spray the solution on the stained part and allow it to sit for 10-15 minutes. Press a sponge on to the area for soaking up the solution & stain. When the stain is no more, rinse the spot using warm water. Use your hand for brushing carpet strands. Then lay paper towels on it to absorb dampness.

Steam clean

Steam cleaning is essential to keep the carpet looking new and fresh. It involves using cleaning solution under pressure injected deep into material through water-jet nozzles. All dirt, debris and stains are extracted with this process. Most of the people in Perth use this process every six months to for a thorough cleaning.

Shaving cream

Apply shaving cream to the stain and allow it to set for thirty minutes. After the cream sets, blot it with a white dry cloth. Then spray the area with the mixture of vinegar and water and wipe it with a cloth.

Heat wax

Burning candles may cause the wax to drip onto the carpet, which if heated again can be removed easily. To do this, you need to put a cloth over the iron and put the iron on top of the wax for warming it up. Then scrape off the wax with butter knife. After this, lay a paper towel on the area & iron on the paper. The wax that will melt is going to bind to the paper and gone after some more applications.
